Our Process: How We Create a Stamped Concrete Surface

Delivering a stamped concrete surface that looks stunning and lasts for years requires both experience and precision. Here’s how MQC ensures a flawless result:

Concrete Pour: We begin with a freshly poured concrete slab, laid to correct levels and falls.
Colour Hardener Application: A dry shake colour hardener is evenly broadcast and trowelled into the slab, colouring the surface layer (approx. 2–3mm).
Release Agent Application: A secondary colour (powder or liquid) is applied to prevent stamp adhesion and provide visual depth and contrast.
Stamping: Using pre-selected moulds, our team presses the textured patterns into the concrete using specialist tamping tools and body weight.
Curing & Cleaning: After allowing the slab to cure, we pressure wash the surface to remove excess release agent.
Sealing: Once fully dry, two coats of industrial-grade concrete sealer (Hardseal) are applied for protection and colour enhancement.
